Welcome to the Cybersecurity Awareness Course. In this training, you’ll learn how to spot and respond to email-based cyberattacks, especially phishing.
Phishing is one of the most common cyber threats. Attackers trick people into revealing information or opening harmful files. Always stay alert to the red flags and use company-approved channels to verify suspicious requests.
This is a classic credential-harvest phishing attack. Attackers create fake login pages to steal your username and password. Always check the domain carefully and avoid clicking suspicious links.
Spear-phishing is a targeted attack. Hackers personalize the email to look more convincing, often using info from LinkedIn or company websites. Always verify internally before opening attachments or acting on requests.
This is called Business Email Compromise (BEC). Attackers impersonate executives to trick staff into making fraudulent payments. Strict approval policies protect us from this.
Invoice scams trick companies into paying fake invoices. Attackers register domains that look almost identical to real suppliers. Always double-check supplier details.
Malware attachments are common ransomware vectors. A single click can infect the company’s systems. Prevention is the best defense.
Credential phishing sites mimic real services. Always check the URL carefully. If unsure, go directly to the official site instead of clicking.
Phishing attacks rely on human error. If you stay cautious, you are our strongest defense.
